World Championship Trials - Birmingham, 1-2 July 2017

Britain’s Radley’s got Talent!

Radley were well represented in the Senior British Championships which duelled as the World Championship Trials.

Our strongest event by far was the Women’s discuss which saw U23 Kathryn Woodcock compete against the best in the Country and take a 6th place with 47.60m. Team mates and U20s Luisa Chantler-Edmond and Isobel Griffin-Morris were also in the competition and did themselves and the Club proud by holding their own against the older athletes and coming 10th (42.56m) and 11th (42. 54m) respectively.  This event shows the strength of our Clubs female throwers.

In the 800m Emma Haley ran close to her pb in her 800m heat with 2.08.89 but this was not quick enough to allow her to progress to the final.

400m Runner Tara Kafke also qualified but was unable toi take part due to an injury worry.

All in all a great showing for such a small Club. Well done girls!
