Volunteer


Radley AC is always welcoming more volunteers every year, volunteers run and improve all aspects of the club. Without volunteers this Club, like many others would not function. Radley AC therefore appreciates all those that give up their time, effort and other skills to assist the Club to function effectively and be successful. 

Below is a table with the different roles carried out by volunteers at Radley AC.

Chairperson Provide the vision, leadership and business planning skills to develop the club for the benefit of all. Run the committee and be responsible for the liaison and cooperation between club officers and sub committees. job description
Secretary The secretary is the head administrator for the club. As looking after the general running of the club, act as the linchpin between internal and external stakeholders. job description
Treasurer The treasurer looks after the club accounts and financial dealings. A club cannot function without handling money in an organised and ‘financially sound’ way. job description
Membership Secretary Manage existing memberships, and actively encourage new ones and deal first hand with the members themselves. job description
Fixture Coordinator Responsible for organising league, inter club and friendly competitions for all the teams in the club. Promote individual and team entry into all the Championship events to ensure a strong club presence. job description
Club Captain Leading and motivating the team for which they are responsible. Being there to provide advice/guidance if athletes have a query. job description
Health and Safety Officer Minimise the risk to all people involved in the club, whether athlete, coach, volunteer or official. The officer will help save unnecessary injury, expense and harm. job description
Coaching Coordinator Ensure a vibrant coaching structure is set up, to assist athletes to improve. job description

Team Manager To pull together the best team possible and to get the most out of them at competition. A figure of respect and inspiration to the team and more athletes will join as a result of the club’s success. job description
Officials’ Coordinator Officiate at league, championships and open meetings to make sure that the events are conducted correctly. Club officials will be supported by the club officials’ coordinator. job description
Welfare Officer Provide leadership in the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults within the club and act as a key point of contact for anyone needing to support or guidance. Maintain relationships with the UK Athletics welfare team. job description
Meeting Manager To ensure the smooth running of a home fixture. job description
Webmaster Maintain the Clubs website, ensuring good communication. job description
