Oxfordshire Road Relays match report
Radley’s combined under 13/15 boys’ team took the gold medal in the Oxfordshire Road Relays at Hook Norton on Sunday.
Kieran Webb came home second on leg one in 5mins 59secs. Adam Breslin, on the second leg clocked, 6.03, before Christian von Eitzen recorded the fastest time of the day – 5.17 – to secure the gold medal.
Radley B were fourth with TJ McClimont, Jonathan Hancox and Robby Crowther making up the team.
Christian Pipped for National Title
Radley youngster Christian von Eitzen recorded a brilliant second place in the under 13 boys’ race at Saturday’s inter-Counties Cross Country Championship in Birmingham.
The promising youngster, winner of the Oxford Mail Cross Country League age group title, was the stand-out Oxfordshire athlete at the event at Cofton Park.
He was always in the running for victory over the 3km course, but just missed out on victory by one second in a sprint for the line.
But von Eitzen’s time of 10mins 23secs represented a truly excellent performance.
Lucky Thirteen for Radley
In the County Championships held in Middleton Cheney on Sunday there were many outstanding performances from Radley athletes. We won five of the age groups with TJ McClimont (U11B), Christian Von Eitzen(U13B), Stuart Ferguson(U17B), Megan Roberts(U20W) and Rhys Glastonbury(U20M) securing gold medals.
The U13 Boys and U17 Mens team won their competitions and the U15 Girls team finished third.
Clean sweep for Radley Boys in Oxford Mail Cross Country at Culham
Radley Boys won the three junior races at the latest Oxford Mail meeting on Sunday. In fine weather the morning started with Nawal Elkirate winning the U11 Girls event. She was followed in quick succession by Robby Crowther in the U11 Boys, Christian Von Eitzen in the U13 Boys and George Miller in the U15 / U17 Men. In the U13 girls event Megan Humphreys was close to winning another age group when she narrowly finished second.
