About Us
Radley Athletics Club provides coaching and competitive opportunities in track and field athletics (including running, jumping and throwing) during the summer and also cross-country running, sportshall and indoor athletics during the winter months.
Who can join?
The club will train any athlete aged eight or over. It already has a thriving junior, senior, veteran and female sections. Male sections are developing into strong teams with the seniors being the strongest southern Men’s team in the area after only two seasons. It offers competition and coaching for all ages regardless of ability.
Where do we train?
The club is based at Tilsley park, Abingdon, Oxon It is a public facility which charges a small usage fee of £2.30 for an under 17 and £3.55 for an adult. We recommend if you are a regular track user, purchasing a track pass. During the winter months some cross country groups train at Shotover Hill, Oxford and Whittenham Clumps near Wallingford, so as to train on a more suitable surface.
When do we meet?
Radley Athletics club meet at Tilsley Park, Abingdon on Monday and Wednesday from 6pm to approximately 8pm (dependant on individual training groups) All of the club's coaches are qualifies UKA coaches and have been CRB checked or signed a UKA declaration to be checked.
