SAL Match 4 - Tilsley Park, 20 July 2013
This match saw Radley come face-to-face with the current league winners and last year's champions, Southampton. Radley athletes put in a fine effort and secured second place on the day, putting them in a commanding position, with one match to go, to secure second in the league overall - which would be a tremendous achievement!
Jordan Dorrian and Stuart Ferguson bagged two A string victories apiece, while Ramone Smith, Will Cullen, Ashley Johnson and Tom Anstice also triumphed.
Dorrian claimed the 200m in 22.70secs and the long jump in 6.77m - a personal best by 23cm and an under 20 club record.
Ferguson secured a middle distance brace in the 800m (1:59.11) and 1,500m (4:11.75).
Smith sprinted to success in the 100m with 11.29, while Cullen took the 3,000m in 9:13.96.
Johnson secured the 110m hurdles in 15.16 and added useful points in the high jump, triple jump, shot putt, discus and hammer.
Anstice, 16, showed his promise with javelin victory on his senior debut in 51.43m, while Radley also took the 4x100m spoils.
Radley collected two individual victories via Hayley Perrin in the long jump (5.22) and Emma O’Hara, who threw the hammer 50.05m.
We also triumphed in the 4x100m relay.
