Oxfordshire have decided not to send a U11 team to Burgess Hill on Sunday 10th January due to bad weather. Sportshall UK will decide after 5pm today if the event is officially postponed.
Due to the adverse weather conditions, and no change forecast for the immediate future, it has been decided to postpone the Oxfordshire Cross-Country Championships that would have taken place on Sunday 10th January until later in the month. Please keep an eye on the Oxfordshire Athletics Association website for further information.
Those of you who are team managers and have sent in Group entries - please notify all your people of this change.
Radley’s Youngsters once again showed excellent performances at the Oxford Mail Cross Country League at Banbury.
Radley Athletics Club wishes all Radley Athletes a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! ...But be sure not to eat or drink too much over this period as most training groups recommence training the Wednesday after the New Year. Competitions also start fresh and early in the New Year with round 3 of the Oxford Mail XC League at Banbury on the 3rd of January, shortly followed by Oxfordshire County XC Champs and under 11 Sportshall Regional final on the 10th.
Radley’s juniors ruled the roost in the second round of the Oxford Mail Cross Country League at Culham, near Abingdon.
In the under 13 boys’ race, Radley’s Christian von Eitzen won in 7mins 55secs, helping his team to a convincing victory.
The South Regional Sportshall Competition for Under 11s takes place again at Burgess Hill on the 10th January 2010. Congratulations to six Radley athletes who will be representing Oxfordshire at this event. For the girls will be Rachel Bibby and Zoe Chung. For the boys will be Robby Crowther, TJ McClimont, Jake Goddard and Tom Murray. Good luck to them all.

Radley Boys won the three junior races at the latest Oxford Mail meeting on Sunday. In fine weather the morning started with Nawal Elkirate winning the U11 Girls event. She was followed in quick succession by Robby Crowther in the U11 Boys, Christian Von Eitzen in the U13 Boys and George Miller in the U15 / U17 Men. In the U13 girls event Megan Humphreys was close to winning another age group when she narrowly finished second.
