The county is looking for anyone willing to look after the junior team, who will represent Oxfordshire at the CAU Inter-Counties Cross Country at Cofton Park, West Birmingham on Saturday 5 March 2011. Selections for the teams are made primarily from the County Cross Country Championships, which are this year being combined with the Oxford Mail League XC Sunday 2nd January 2011, Horspath Road, Oxford. It is hoped a volunteer will come forward by the date of the XC championships, to give a chance to meet the juniors who will be eligible for the team and to check their availability.
Sadly, there are no guaranteed places for Radley athletes available for next year’s London Marathon as our application for guaranteed entries has been misplaced by the postal company. At this moment in time the London Marathon organisers are unable to issue Radley with any places.
Radley Athletics Club wishes all Radley Athletes a restful Christmas break... But be sure not to eat or drink too much over this period as the competition recommences early in the New Year. Round 3 of the Oxford Mail XC League combined with the County Championships is at Horspath in Oxford on the 2nd of January, shortly followed by the Chiltern XC League (15th) and under 11 Sportshall Regional final on the (16th).

It has been decided that a SWL B team will be entered for 2011 but with the following criteria applied:
· The team will use either cars or a self-drive mini bus to get to fixtures;
· The A Team must be filled 100% (even if last minute gaps arise);
We had a strong day in the under 20 event, with George Miller winning the men’s category in 34.49. Clubmate Gemma Bridge finished second in the women’s under 20 race over 6.5km in a time of 29.27. Miller tops the rankings after two races, while Bridge is second to Oxford City’s Melissa Hawtin.
We also scooped one, two, three in the under 11 girls’ race run over 1.2km thanks to Shelbie Jackson (4.50), Amelia Perin (4.55) and Gabriella McErlain (4.57).
I am looking to run a workshop on ‘An introduction to FUNdamentals of movement’ on 14th January 2011 at 6:15pm at the Horspath Track. This particular workshop has been chosen due to responses received from the coaching questionnaires. Could you please let me know (email@example.com) if you are interested in attending this workshop as I will need to order resources for it. Again, this workshop will be fully funded by the Oxfordshire Athletics Network and will be FREE for all attendees.
If anyone has any trophies from last year could you please return them so we have them in time for our upcoming presentation evening in January.
