O’Hara stars as youngsters come of age
Radley Athletics Club fielded it’s youngest ever teams for the Southern Women’s League ‘double header’ Premier and Division 1 matches at Guildford Spectrum on Saturday.
There is a Vets league meeting at Tilsley Park on Monday 23 May, this means the track is closed to athletes normally training on Monday.
RADLEY’S Christian Von Eitzen smashed two Oxfordshire Track & Field Championship records, including a 29-year-old mark as he won two gold medals at Horspath Road.
Von Eitzen, competing in the under 15 boys’ category in the annual event, blitzed the field in both the 800m and 1500m.
He eased to victory in the 800m, clocking an impressive time of 2mins 04.48secs, breaking the mark set by Banbury Harriers’ Mark Chatfield way back in 1982.
There will be an Athletics Leader Course held in Oxfordshire on Saturday 11th June, between 8.30am and 5.30pm.
