Membership fees were due at the beginning of the year. Please make sure you have completed your renewal or new member forms and paid any outstanding fees. Did you know you don't need to be an athlete to become a member of the Club? Any family member of an athlete can become an associate member for just £3. This small fee would be a great help to the club and our ever increasing running costs. Forms can be downloaded from the membership section of the website or ask a committee member if you would like more information.
At the first outdoor event of 2013 Luisa Chantler, in her first competition as a Radley athlete, goes 2nd in the UK U15 girls shot. Luisa had 6 throws over 11mts, the best being 11.69mts. Only 3 months after major knee reconstruction surgery and 3 weeks training, Luisa took the opportunity to get a throw in before next weeks national indoor competition in Birmingham. Not only is a medal a distinct possibility but she can now think about challenging for the gold.
